I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
